Media & Public Affairs
Public Affairs
The Public Affairs section at the High Commission handles its public relations, including media inquiries and cultural activities as well as being responsible for the maintenance of this website. General information inquiries are answered at both the High Commission and Consulate-General.

Public Information
Inquiries and requests for information from the New Zealand public can be made to the High Commission by phone, fax, post or email. The section clears most requests by issuing standard information sheets and relevant pamphlets. Many requests will be answered by referral to the content of this website or by provision of contact information specific to the Australian public sector or related sources. Please note the High Commission is not able to assist with employment or accommodation queries and does not have officers who specialise in detailed customs, education or tax matters. Enquiries related to trade and tourism are referred to allied agencies within New Zealand.
We are able to source and distribute Australian fact sheets on a variety of topics. The Information Officer is able to assist with more involved requests and can be contacted on:
Email: nzinbox@dfat.gov.au
